The Marais is one of my favorite shopping areas in Paris. While there is glamour to be found in the Avenue Montaigne or the Faubourg Saint Honoré, I find the Marais to be more my style. You can find indie shops, great bookshops, French brands, and a hip feel here. What’s more, many of the shops in the Marais are open on Sundays, when most of Paris is shut down.

Vieille du Temple starts at Rue de Rivoli and ends at the Haut Marais, where it meets Rue de Bretagne, Rue de Turenne, and the Filles du Calvaire. Exploring the Marais can take a lot of time, but it is worth it. It’s one of the best places in the city for window shopping.
